Röntgen im großen Stil: im Hamburger Hafen durchleuchtet der Zoll ganze Lastkraftwagen und ihre Ladung. Schon seit 15 Jahren arbeiten die Beamten an der Zollgrenze mit dem riesigen Röntgenapparat, dem größten Europas. Baukosten damals: 36 Millionen D-Mark. Die Zöllner schauen mit der Maschine in Frachtcontainer und wollen so den Schmuggel bekämpfen. Sie suchen nach Kokain und Haschisch, Produktfälschungen und - seit 2001 - auch nach terrorverdächtiger Ladung.
